On the eve of the Trojan War, Agamemnon, leader of the Greek army, sacrifices his daughter Iphigenia to the goddess Artemis in order to take Troy. Wracked by grief, his wife Clytemnestra seeks comfort from another man, and together she and Aegisthus take control of the Royal Palace. When Agamemnon returns to Greece, victorious, Clytemnestra gets her revenge.
